Come Get Your Cognitive Complexity On

Taste. Appraise. Compare. Cogitate. Consider what's more unusual: a Park City Wine or an Iron Horse Flagship? Whatever. This is where it all happens. Here's where we make it. Here's where you can drink it. Our flagship location is easy to find if you've already cognified where Windy Ridge is. We're right next door. (Park City's challenging laws about signage make us hard to see, but worth finding.) Come enjoy a tasting with friends, or kick back and share a bottle. We also have a few tasty bites to pair with your Pinot (or whatever else we're pouring for you), from simple snacks to a salumi & cheese board.

Want An Adult Beverage Other Than Wine?

There's always someone in the group who'd rather enjoy a cocktail. And who are we to argue? After all, we're the ones who said, "Let's make wine in Park City!" and nobody judged us. As far as we know. So bring 'em along. In addition to Cognition wines (and a list of others), we also offer a full liquor bar, including specialty cocktails. We are nothing if not equal opportunity publicans. Cheers to one and all!

Wine To Go!

Care to buy a bottle or acquire a case? We're here for you. Swing in and make a purchase. Or spend some time in the tasting room, sample our wares, and then purchase a lovely parting bottle to take away. (Cognition wines are not available in liquor stores. The only way you can buy them is from your friendly neighborhood connection: Us.)

Cognitive Musicology

We frequently host local artists for live music at the winery!  You'd be amazed how many good singer/songwriters populate Park City. Good wine. Good music. It's a no-brainer kind of pairing.

Summertime Outdoor Seating

We love our snow and all the high-speed gravity sports it enables us to do when we're not stomping grapes. But when the snow leaves us, we throw open the doors to the patio and welcome the kind of weather that makes grapes possible. Sit outside and sip a Sauvignon or a Syrah and ponder the inevitable questions of life, the universe and high-altitude viticulture.

Your Next Big Event

Almost as much as we love making wine, we love throwing parties. The Cognition High-Altitude Tasting Room is available to be rented for your special event. We can host as many as 100 of your closest friends. We feature a full kitchen for all your wine-friendly food desires. (Need a caterer to go with it? We know people...)

HOURS

Our primary goal is to make wine - therefore we are open to the public on these days:

Tuesday - Saturday 3pm - 6pm

We are closed Sundays and Mondays.

Call Dennis to make special arrangements to purchase bottles of wine at 435-640-3206.

PLEASE NOTE: As we are a bar, all visitors must be 21 years or older.

Main Street Location

Ski Or Cowboy, Feel Free To Leave Your Boots On

Our tasting room at the top of Main Street makes it easy to pop in right after the slopes or right before dinner out. And who doesn't like sitting in the window with a nice glass of wine and watching the world go by?

Wine Tastings

Step up to the bar and taste the tipple that routinely makes folks say, "I had no Idea it was going to be this good!" All our wines are available in 1-ounce pours regulated by the Great State of Utah so you can decide which bottle needs to go home with you.

Corkscrews, Decanters & Artwork, Oh My!

While you're tippling, browse our selection of wine-related gifts, including posters of Cognition's original label art--created for us by local artist, William J. Kranstover. (Contrary to the rumors, we do not pay him in wine.)

Not Available In Stores?

Nope. It's a long story, but you cannot buy Cognition Wines in Utah's state liquor stores. But you can buy them here (or at our Iron Horse location), take them back to your hotel, take them to dinner (corkage varies by restaurant), or take them home to wherever your friends will look at you and say, "This was made where?" Be the first on your block!

Hours Of Operation

Our Main Street Location is open  Wednesday & Thursday 12PM to 6PM

Visit our Iron Horse Winery location for more frequent hours of operation or call Dennis at 435-640-3206 to make arrangements

to purchase bottles of wine.

All visitors must be 21 years or older.

Sadly, our Utah State license requires this location to be closed Sundays and State and Federal Holidays.

If you stop by some other time and we are closed, we are probably doing something crazy like bottling wine. Feel free to call us at 435-640-3206 to find out.
